Team and roles: inspecting together as a firm

In Keursnel, your whole firm works in one organisation. You give each colleague a role and choose for each team member what they can do and see.

Animated demo: inviting a team member, choosing what she sees, assigning an inspection and working together live in it. Invite with a link, Choose what she sees, Assign an inspection, Work together in one inspection.

How to set up your team

  1. Your organisation is ready

You sign up your firm yourself with Start for free. Your organisation is then ready, with you as its only main admin.

  2. Invite your colleagues

You create a link for each person and pass it on yourself. The link is valid for seven days and can be used once.

  3. Set up each team member

Choose which inspection types someone does, which inspections they see and whether they may deliver themselves.

  4. Divide the work

Assign inspections to a team member. Colleagues can also work in the same inspection at the same time.

Which roles are there?

Keursnel has three roles. What each role can do is set on the server, not in the app.

With every change, the server checks who is asking and what they are allowed to do.

  • Main admin (hoofdadmin): exactly one per organisation, with all permissions
  • Manager (beheerder): handles the team, the credits, the house style, the texts and the prices
  • Team member (teamlid): inspects and delivers if allowed, without management rights

What can the main admin do, and what can a manager do?

There are 21 permissions. Seven of them belong to the main admin only. The other 14 belong to both the main admin and the managers.

A team member has no management rights. They inspect, and deliver if that is switched on for them.

  • Main admin only: company information, payment information and the subscription
  • Main admin only: appointing managers and transferring the main admin role
  • Main admin only: exporting everything, importing a backup and closing the organisation
  • Main admin and manager: inviting team members, buying credits and assigning inspections
  • Main admin and manager: seeing all inspections and permanently deleting inspections
  • Main admin and manager: Huisstijl, Rapportopmaak, Teksten and Tarieven (house style, report layout, texts and rates)

What do you set for each team member?

For each team member, you choose three things. That way, you decide what someone does and sees.

If a team member is not allowed to deliver, a colleague does it. That way, an experienced inspector can check a new colleague's work before the report goes out.

Keursnel currently only does the building inspection. The other inspection types are listed in the app as Binnenkort (coming soon).

  • Inspection types: which types they may do, all of them by default
  • Visibility: all inspections, or only their own and assigned inspections
  • Delivery: whether they may deliver themselves, yes by default

How do you invite a colleague?

A main admin or manager creates an invitation. Your colleague gets a link and chooses their own password.

Only the main admin can invite a manager.

Keursnel does not email the link itself. You pass it on via your own email or WhatsApp.

Your colleagues do not sign up themselves. They get their account through the invitation from your organisation.

  • One link per person
  • Valid for seven days
  • Single use
  • A password of at least eight characters

How do you work together in one inspection?

A main admin or manager assigns an inspection to a team member. If that team member only sees their own and assigned inspections, this inspection now appears for them too.

Colleagues can work in the same inspection at the same time. Changes come in live. If two people work in the same field, the last change wins.

Each inspector has their own walking route: the order of the chapters through the home. The numbers in the report stay the same.

A new inspection automatically gets the next reference number. The counter is on the server, so two inspectors never get the same number.

How do credits work in a team?

Credits belong to the organisation, not to one person. A paid building inspection costs 1 credit.

The main admin or a manager can buy credits. Only the main admin can take out or cancel a subscription.

The credit ledger shows the balance, the batches, the transactions and the orders. An inspection is deducted from the batch that expires first.

Working for free? The limit of 3 delivered reports per calendar month applies to the whole organisation.

What do you do when someone leaves?

Is an inspector leaving? Assign their open inspections to a colleague. Then suspend or remove their membership.

Everyone can also delete their own account, under Instellingen, Account en apparaat (Settings, Account and device). The account and memberships are removed; the inspections stay with the organisation.

If the main admin wants to stop, they first transfer the role to another member. They then become a manager themselves.

Logging out only signs out that device. Keursnel then wipes the encrypted data on that device.

Frequently asked questions

Can a team member see only their own inspections?

Yes. For each team member you choose: all inspections, or only their own and assigned inspections. The main admin and the managers always see all inspections.

Does Keursnel send the invitation by email?

No. You create a link and pass it on yourself, for example by email or WhatsApp. The link is valid for seven days and can be used once.

Can two inspectors work in one inspection at the same time?

Yes. Your colleague's changes come in live. If you work in the same field, the last change wins. So agree in advance who does which chapters.

What happens to the inspections when an inspector leaves?

The inspections stay with the organisation. Assign their open inspections to a colleague. After that, you suspend or remove their membership.

Can I transfer the main admin role?

Yes. The main admin transfers the role to another member and becomes a manager. There is always exactly one main admin per organisation.

How does a team pay for inspections?

A paid building inspection costs 1 credit. Credits belong to the organisation, so the whole team uses the same balance. The main admin or a manager can buy credits.

Inspect without the hassle afterwards

Record the inspection on site. Keursnel works out the costs and creates the report with the NHG annex.
